Evening Guest

The pictures here are of a snake found in my backyard this weekend. Up close to the house which kind of gives me shivers. The dog and cat (only Arwen was around) hassled the 2 foot long beast. It had a peachish-pink underbelly; a rich dark auburn-brown head; the body was ashen looking (maybe molting) but you could kind of make out some shape/color, other than dark brown, regularly banding the thing.

The pictures are not very clear as I stayed my distance and very shaky hands!

I was supposed to go to a Gwen Stefani concert this evening with some folks from work; I just couldn't make myself go! I feel pretty dead and empty.

Sunday...Mother's Day...

The good: I got 20 caladium tubers planted. I called my mom finally around 6:30pm. Oldest son did wish my a happy mother's day upon waking.

The bad: It was downhill from there. Coldness, tension, hurting words. No love, appreciation, warmth, just nothing.

I don't feel like talking to anyone. I've not spoken to DK since Friday. He did leave a voice mail for me at some point.

My Saturday

The good: I woke up and had moments of productivity.

• I woke up at 11:00 but fell back asleep. Moe, my dog, is beside me.
• I woke up at 13:43; got up this time.
• David's not here this weekend. Just as well. Things not going well there at all.
• Get out weed eater and lawnmower to clean up the front yard. Very little gas.
• Relax
• Starts to thunder. Move flag stone from tarp so I can pull the tarp over the rock screenings; protection from the impending rain. Pull other tarp over freshly applied rock screenings and flag stone in the in-progress sidewalk.
• Plant butterfly week and some other bush that has flowers resembling toad lilies.
• Start to go into the house, but my son has locked the door. He's angry most of the time.
• He finally unlocks the door. I'm told what a shit I am again. I say nothing.
• Fix lunch. Eat while checking mail, news, etc on the internet.
• Relax

The bad: Living in my house with such verbal and mental abuse.
